This guide examines potential job opportunities for people with visual disabilities in Romania and outlines measures employers can take to establish an inclusive work environment. These practices are intended to serve as a model that can be applied to other job roles or disabilities. The research identified several accessible jobs, including programmer, human resources specialist, lawyer/legal advisor, content writer, accessibility consultant, teacher, psychologist, call center operator, and broker/financial consultant.
The guide was created through a collaboration between blind and able-bodied individuals with diverse backgrounds and professional experiences, all united by a shared motivation: to shape an inclusive labor market. We hope that our collaborative approach—learning from and supporting each other—will inspire other teams to adopt similar methods in order to identify the most effective inclusive solutions.
